Katherine Anderson is a dance artist living in Boston, MA. After applying to Oberlin College with a visual art portfolio, Katherine discovered contemporary dance and went on to study modern/contemporary dance technique, improvisation and composition at Oberlin with Holly Handman-Lopez, Nusha Martynuk, Ann Cooper Albright, Carter McAdams and Ashley Thorndike. As a graduating senior and dance major, Katherine independently produced Hysteria, a showing of staged and site-specific work by female dance and sound artists. Her choreography was performed at the Green Street Emerging Artists Showcase, Cambridge MA (2012), Elizabeth Warren for Massachusetts, Lexington MA (2012), The Shared Choreographer’s Concert at the Dance Complex in Cambridge, MA (2011) and Movement at the Mills program sponsored by Boston Center for the Arts (2011). In the winter of 2012, Katherine produced a 3-part series of political vignettes titled "The Citizens, United" in collaboration with campaign finance coalition Rootstrikers with the generous support of a grant from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts.
